Extending support to young people in an age of pornography, this workshop on the 1st of August at the Napier Boys High School will assist you in understanding how pornography has shaped youth’s sexual experiences and expectations, and guide you with tools for a safe respectful sexuality. The training will be led by Maree Crabbe, who along with David Corbett has conducted many interviews with people from the porn industry. This is more of a counselling session for those who have distorted their sexual understandings because of pornography.
Beervana
The national beer event of New Zealand is back this year at the Westpac stadium in Wellington on the 11th and 12th of August, with hundreds of beers and cuisines from some of the best breweries in the country. This is an ultimate thirst quencher, with vibrant beer cocktails, outrageous brewery displays, cheeseburger spring rolls and beer matched silent discos. Some of the international breweries will also be participating for the very first time in an event that is not only a festival, but a sumptuous experience.

The Classic Comedy AllStars
The home of live comedy will come to life on the 18th of August at The Classic Comedy Club, featuring a selection of rising stars and top headliners. The Great War Exhibition
Created by Sir Peter Jackson, The Great War Exhibition honours the role played by valiant New Zealand soldiers in the 1st World War. A global story will be recreated at the Dominion Museum Building with a stunning array of movie-like setting, depicting the war year by year, and scene by scene. From the 11 tonne gun to the 10 tonne tank and the hand-painted figurines, there will be rare and thought-provoking artefacts on display. This is a world-class exhibition with plenty of photographs from that era melting away the last century. It shows the bravery, spirit and hardship of those who lived through this significant time in history.
Cinderella
Nelson Academy of Dance will be proudly presenting fairy tale sessions on magic and love, Cinderella, the Ballet from 24th to 27th of August. This will be a delightful night featuring a glittering ball and beautiful music by Prokofiev, as you witness the dance performance by Cinderella and her prince. All the credit needs to go to the director Gillian Francis, who has gathered some talented students with some excellence in sound, lighting, backdrops, costuming and choreography. Auckland Night Markets
Auckland Night Markets take place across 6 different locations across the city with some delectable street food and delicious treats from around the globe. Since its introduction in 2011, the markets have expanded in popularity, being a regular feature on the calendar. There are plenty of toys, fashion and food to be had, along with live music performances and stage shows. Additional entertainment is provided by dance troupes, magicians and buskers.
A Festival Of Russian Ballet
