The largest Chinese festival in New Zealand is here, welcoming the Year of Pig from the 14th to 17th. Sparks 2019
Sparks 2019 gives you an opportunity for a great get together in one of the most iconic fireworks events in the city. Along with the fabulous Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, the program will include both modern day favourites and traditional classics. Pack a picnic for yourself or grab some snacks from the food trucks at the venue. In case it rains, the event will be postponed to the next day in Hagley Park. Buses have been arranged to drop you home after the event.
Takapuna Food, Wine & Music Festival 2019
The Takapuna Food, Wine & Music Festival is back with a boutique urban fest set to provide another fantastic experience in association with some of the best national and international acts, popular eateries, spectacular performers, creative artists, food vendors, wineries and craft breweries. Te Matatini ki te Ao 2019
Te Matatini is an important cultural festival for Maori performing arts. It is held every 2 years and is one of the most highly anticipated events. The event happening at the Westpac stadium from 21st to 24th of February will witness fans from across the world. The festival takes pride in being whanau friendly, alcohol and smoke-free event. King Beats 2019
The King Beats is going to be bigger and better than ever, and this time it will be held at the Kingston State Highway 6 in Queenstown. The festival presents the headline act ‘The Black Seeds’. Known as one of the finest acts in New Zealand, the rhythmic jams of the band will give you sweet sensation in the dirt and dust of the festival. There are some great activities for all ages including DJ’s and local bands playing into the night. This non-profitable event is aimed towards supporting local children’s charities and schools.
