Waiheke Half Marathon

The Waiheke Half Marathon happening on the 6th of the May is a great opportunity to explore the scenic vineyards of the region, right from the golden sandy beaches to the sun-baked plains and wild hillsides. Known to be the largest trade event in the tourism industry of New Zealand. This free public light festival will take place at a waterfront location in Wellington from 12th to 21st of May. On the 13th of May, two musical geniuses will be taking the stage at Orchestra Wellington. One is a well-known musical composer John Elmsly, and the other one is a young violinist Jun Hong Loh. It’s no doubt that Beethoven has mastered the symphonic form, and the young Stravinsky is one of the greatest composers to be launched in worldwide scenario.  The Firebird is a result of a high-powered creative team, with Diaghilev matching Stravinsky, combining an imaginative use of orchestra and exciting rhythms.

Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Taking place from 17th to 21st of May, this joyous retelling of the Joseph’s Biblical story is one of the most enduring shows of all time. It’s a kaleidoscope of colourful dance numbers and catchy songs, including the likes of Go Go Go Joesph, Close Every Door To Me and Any Dream Will Do. There will be jazz, calypso, French Ballad and rock ‘n’ roll. The brand new version is reimagined with a modern twist, exuding colour, music, exuberance, cheek, fun, high energy and quirkiness. Featuring an outstanding international cast, the production includes Jonathan Roxmouth.

Wellington Underground Market

Easily one of the best shopping destinations in the city, the Wellington Underground Market serves as catalyst for local emerging ventures, where people can get unique collection of stuff, including clothing, gourmet food and locally made designer homewares. Frenchy – Unleashed

Bluff Oyster Festival

This special festival is held at Bluff to rejoice the seasonal harvest every year, when oysters are at peak. There will be oyster opening, sack creativity awards and eating competitions. Live music adds to the ambiance, as you sample the delicious plump and juicy oysters grown in the clean waters of Foveaux Strait. Paradox Tauranga Street Art Festival
